Tour  details:

Mera Peak lies to the  south of  Evererst and stands between the wilderness valleys of  Hinku and Hunku. From the summit five (Mt.  Everest - 8848 m, Kanchenjunga - 8586 m,  Lhotse - 8516 m, Makalu - 8485 m, Cho Oyo - 8188 m) of the fourteen eight-thousanders are visible.

The Mera Peak has two summits. The easier one attemped by most groups. The first successful ascent of Mera Peak took place on 20th of May 1953 by Sen Tenzing and Jimmy Roberts. The route they used is still the standard route.

Difficulty and requirements:

Demanding alpine tour, which requires excellent condition, free from giddiness, knowledge of rock, ice and security techniques, high physical and mental strength as well as a very good health.

Each participant must be aware of the occurrence of unpredictable and difficult events (e.g. bad weather, flight delays, illness, poor trail condition, difficult terrain, changes or shifts in the tour itinerary and time schedule).

Based on the possible occurrence of corpuses, which, if necessary, must be bypassed, it may come to longer hikes per day or complete shifts of the schedule.

Walking hours:  between 3 to 9 hours per day ( in particular the day of the summit attempt is very long and very demanding)
